We are in for a treat with visit from local award-winning Photographers Saskia Coulson and Colin Tennant, talking about 'The Art of Seeing’.
Saskia Coulson & Colin Tennant are an award-winning artist partnership who develop projects through a lens-based practice, in film and photography, combining genres of documentary and fine art. Using visual storytelling, they create artistic, documentary and environmental work for a wide range of clients and organisations as well as their own personal projects.
Their work has been published by several national and international media outlets, including The Guardian, The Independent, the BBC and National Geographic, and their work has been exhibited extensively throughout the UK and abroad. It has been acquired for both private and public collections. Saskia and Colin live in the Upper Nithsdale area of Dumfries and Galloway and about six years ago they stared their own business together ‘Coulson & Tennant Productions’.
Dumfries camera Club welcome visitors to the club with a small charge of £5 per night, if prospective new members would like to visit for a few nights without joining they will get the visiting fee taken off the joining fee of £75 per year. The topics we cover are talks from visiting speakers, internal speakers, help with improving your own photography, the chance to show the members what your photography means to you and the competitions held in the club. All levels of experience are welcome there is a place for you in our friendly club.
