Thirty-nine clubs representing the 15 Federations of the PAGB competed for the Projected Digital Image Championship at Warwick University on 16th July. Dumfries Camera Club (DCC) qualified both as Scottish Federation winners and as finalists in the 2015 competition.
The Club made a strong start in Round 1, finishing in 4th place, but lower scores for the second batch of eight images left DCC just outside the final eight and competing for the Plate. Doncaster Camera Club won the Plate competition by one point from DCC and Cannock Photographic Society. The small group of travelling supporters was greatly cheered when ‘Predator and Prey’ by Mick Durham was judged the best image in the Championship.
The overall winners were Wigan 10 Foto Club from the L&CPU Federation and top Scottish club was Carluke who qualify for the 2017 Championship by reaching the final eight.
There will be a full report from Warwick at the start of the new season.
