Dumfries, Keswick, Carlisle, Copeland, Morton, West Cumbria and Workington clubs travelled to Penrith on Saturday 4th November to compete in the Western Area Battle. Leo Palmer judged six prints and six PDIs from each club; scoring out of a maximum of 20. After the print section, Dumfries and last year’s winners, Keswick, were tied on 98 points. The PDI competition was equally close and the winning club would be decided by the higher score in the final round - both scored 18 and honours were shared.
Both individual awards went to impressive landscapes with Alan Thomson of Carlisle taking the print trophy and the PDI trophy going to John Williams of Penrith.

Comments
Good effort on behalf of the club - well done all those who took part.
Twelve photos by 12 authors - reflects very well on the club. Hopefully nobody will notice who got the lowest mark.
Aw, better luck next time , Maybeth!
