The Club has a large range of Cups, Shields, Statuettes, Glassware and unique "One-Offs" which it awards every year to deserving photographs or deserving members. We have nearly sufficient for every member to have one but some win more than their fair share!
Some have been donated by members past and present including several by our Founding Members. There is at least one which predates the founding of the Club and it is not clear how that came into our possession. Some have been inherited from other photographic organisations that have folded and some have been purchased to celebrate some historical Club event. Many of them have changed use over the years from 8mm Film to Colour Slides and from Lantern Slides to Prints.
The names on these trophies encapsulate the complete history of Dumfries Camera Club since it began in 1947, although one trophy is incorrectly and permanently emblazoned "Founded 1948".

The centre piece of this trophy given to the club by Mr Whitehead is a bronzed plaque inscribed on the back "Hove Camera Club Exhibition 1904". It is not recorded how it came to Dumfries. It was previously awarded for Nature but in 1984 another Club member wanted to present a trophy for nature and the Whitehead Trophy was rebranded as the Winner of the Advanced Mono Print League, now Mono Print League A.
The plaque had never been well mounted and by 1996 the whole trophy was in very poor condition. The winner that year had it completely refurbished at his own expense with all of the names re-engraved...and then won it again every year until 1999.
